Title: | Ultrasonic localization system with narrow band sensors | Authors: | Pang, Shang Hao | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering | Issue Date: | 2019 | Abstract: | Ultrasonic localization system can be used for human motion tracking, robotics tracking, navigation and many more. It is also known for a cost-effective method in many research fields. This project explores the narrowband ultrasonic sensors for its high accuracy in distance ranging. We employ narrow band ultrasonic sensors to transmit 40kHz pulses for ranging using fixed anchor nodes. Mobile nodes are attached to a swinging pendulum to find the best-case accuracy at various moving velocities. A camera motion capture system is used as a reference to compare the performance. Test results were analyzed and discussed on how ultrasonic localization system can be used for future works in future localization projects. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/77694 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
