Abstract: This project is concerned with obtaining accurate position using inertia sensors such as accelerometers and gyroscopes. Nowadays, these sensors are built into smartphones. By integrating the acceleration obtained in different axes together with rotation of the body, the movement of the person carrying the hand-phone can be evaluated. However, such systems suffer from integration drift, therefore zero-velocity update principle is applied to mitigate said drift.
