Title: Engineering the narrative "Home Grown" close to an ageing population
Authors: Yong, Ryan Shing Hao
Keywords: DRNTU::Visual arts and music::Animation::3D
Issue Date: 2019
Abstract: Home Grown is an animated story of an old man finding companionship with a terrapin he encountered by chance. Together, they form a strong bond but eventually learn that all things must grow and come to an end. The theme of this short film parallels that of real-world situations, where our elders take care of us when we are young, no matter how frail or old their bodies get. This report details the entire production workflow of this short film and will delve into the challenges faced by our team and the solutions that were found for them, going through each step of the pipeline from story conceptualizing all the way to post-production.
