Abstract: This report delves into the details of the development and production behind the 2D animated film “Breakfast”. It uses food and visual metaphor in order to explore the fraying relationship between two childhood friends. One of them still clings on to their past, while the other has moved on. The latter’s nostalgia begins to manifest through illusory visions while he partakes in a traditional Singaporean breakfast. Soon, he begins to realise that their paths have diverged, and perhaps, it is time to move on.
