Title: | Monitoring the spreading of infection in complex network | Authors: | Loh, Mun Whye | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering | Issue Date: | 2019 | Abstract: | With the advance technology involving nowadays, computer networks are growing rapidly everywhere in terms of processing and speed, this allows data to be processed and sent to each other extremely fast, with this technology, hackers introduced various infectious virus and diseases to cripple the network. Compare to infectious diseases and virus in biological life, the spreading between humans and computer complex network and model is very similar, in this project, studies will be conducted on building a strong system by deploying a number of ‘honeypots’(similar to anti-virus) in computer networks to detect infectious virus with the lowest cost yet maximum efficiency. In this report, basic knowledge of complex network will be covered, which includes scale-free network and random network, various epidemic model will be introduced ( SI, SIS, SIR ) and discussed. Simulations will be done in Matlab, to observe the properties of a scale-free network, the differences between various model. Studies on the placement of detection nodes, and the differences between different reliabilities in detection. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/78183 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
