Title: | Lightweight high strength panel for green wall | Authors: | Wai, Yan Oo | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Mechanical engineering | Issue Date: | 2019 | Abstract: | Due to the urbanization, ever changing global temperature and soil pollution, Green wall system has been gaining popularity around the world. Green wall systems can be installed both indoor and outdoor. Not only green wall systems have high aesthetic value, but also its greeneries help in regulating the indoor temperature of the building. Although green wall system has many benefits that improves the well-being of the residents, it also come with high cost installation and maintenance depending on the design and equipment needed in the system. The need of soil in growing greeneries create the entire system to be heavy and more difficult to work with. Not only that installation and removal of green wall system may be tedious and expensive too. Thus, this project’s aim is to eliminate or minimize the usage of soil and to make use of polyurethane foams for green wall construction. This may possibly reduce the construction cost of green wall system and create more combination and design improvement in the future. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/78296 | Schools: | School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
