Title: | Real-time simulator for load aggregation in building energy management system - part 1 | Authors: | Lam, Estini Ying Qi | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering | Issue Date: | 2019 | Abstract: | This report proposes the design and development of real-time simulator for load aggregation in building’s electrical energy consumption. The simulation system was designed in the aim of operating as a representation of the monitoring system for power load management through load profiling. This monitoring system does not aim to decrease the overall electricity consumption, but rather approaches (or replies to) the consumption pattern resulted from the overview load profile, which power producers used to plan the amount of electricity they will need to process and provide for control methods at any given time. Therefore, studies of load profiling can be made in observations made in results generated from the monitoring system. In order to facilitate the analysis of the data provided, the monitoring tool will create graphs with the data provided and navigation control for graphic visualization of the load usage. A load model was integrated with the system to further present these simulated results obtained from the load profile in terms of how much electricity was used. Hence, this study will look through the methodology required to construct, integrate and simulate the monitoring system for building’s electrical load usage that functions correspondingly with the load model. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/78313 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
