One of the effects of climate change that Singapore experiences is the disruption to rainfall patterns. Hence, this report seeks to assess the viability of a temporary water detention area integrated into existing public spaces, complemented by an underground detention tank. This report delivers a conceptual design of a temporary water detention area coupled with an underground detention tank. The temporary water detention area will serve as a stormwater collection point before the water is channeled into the detention tank below. The stormwater collected will be discharged into nearby water sources after the rainfall event.
