Abstract: This project provides a solution for robotic integrated restaurant targeting Singapore food and beverage industry. The restaurant layout is the environment constraint of the system. The in-restaurant delivery system consists of control system, mechanical system, sensing system, power system, and interaction system. The concept of the system is making use of upper deck space to increase time efficiency while bringing additional safety measures. The delivery robot only has 4 degrees of freedom, it transfers the load to the destination at the upper deck and lowers down the attached delivery box to deliver the load. The interaction system provides the capability for the robot to collaborate with restaurant customers and restaurant workers. The delivery robot also can deliver used cutlery to the dish washing centre with command of workers.
