Title: Design and build a test rig for measurement of flow over a super – hydrophobic surface for a blood pump
Authors: Ooi, Alvin Inn Boon
Keywords: Engineering::Mechanical engineering
Issue Date: 2019
Abstract: This report presents the project carried out by the final year student involved in the design and build a test rig for measurement of flow over a superhydrophobic surface for a blood pump. The design process of this project will be presented here. It covers the introduction to the project, the conceptual design, the design calculations, material selection, and the fabrication. The need for the design of this test rig is to assist in the study of the velocity and flow effect over a superhydrophobic material specimen in a blood pump. The design of the test section is to mimic the actual flow condition in a blood pump. The design of the test rig is based on similar research work done previously.
