dc.description.abstract本文是首个以新加坡双语国庆歌曲为中心展开的研究,范围锁定在1998年至2009年的十首双语国庆歌曲。论文主要探讨这十首双语国庆歌曲在建构人民的国家认同这个范围上所发挥的作用。英汉两个语言基本上就有很大的差异,因此,双语版本的国庆歌曲在建构国家认同中是有很大不同的,包括了文化的差异,创作者主观的选择,或是考虑到受众接受的程度。当中他们所采取的态度和方针中有一些相同之处和改变,因此国庆歌曲在建构人民国家认同的讨论中值得关注和比对。笔者从新加坡双语政策的形成与发展为起点,探析这项政策如何影响着人民的国家认同,从而延伸到双语国庆歌曲的发展脉络。最后,再以《家》作为阐述的例子,研究中英文版本的歌曲当中不同意识形态的再现。通过分析新加坡的双语国庆歌曲,本研究探索创作者如何给歌曲另一种语言的版本赋予新生命,同时提供一个崭新的视角来讨论国家的建设。 This is the first article that focuses on bilingual National Day songs in Singapore. This study writes about the ten bilingual National Day songs from 1998 to 2009. The paper mainly dwells on the role of these ten bilingual National Day songs in the forging of national identity among netizens. There is a fundamental difference between the English and Chinese language, which results in bilingual National Day songs having disparities in the construction of national identity. These include cultural differences, subjective choices of song producers and lyricists, or acceptability amongst audiences. In the factors mentioned above, it could be observed that there are certain similarities and changes in their attitudes and related policies. These are the important areas in which comparisons and further study could be carried out. Starting from the formation and development of Singapore’s bilingual policy, the author explores how this policy affects the formation of national identity amongst Singaporeans, thus extending to the development of bilingual National Day songs. Finally, in this thesis, take “Home” as a key example, deeply explore the reproduction of different ideologies behind the Chinese-English version of the songs. By documenting the bilingual National Day songs in Singapore, this study explores how the creators bring about a new life to the songs presented in alternative languages whilst offering an innovative perspective on nation building.en_US
