Issue Date: 1995
Abstract: The present study deals with an alternative piled embankment system using precast concrete cap beams (instead of individual pile caps) and geotextile. Model tests and theoretical analysis were carried out to investigate the effects of cap beam spacing and geotextile on the load distribution between soft ground and cap beams.
