Abstract: Development of photoacoustic (PA) imaging agents is crucial to advancing PA imaging in biology and medicine. In this study, we report the design and synthesis of near-infrared (NIR) absorbing amphiphilic semiconducting polymers that can spontaneously self-assemble into homogeneous water-soluble nanoparticles for PA imaging of tumor in living mice.
