Abstract: Although the process of corrosion is ultimately inevitable it can be controlled and surprisingly, much of the vast waste of the resources that it causes could be avoided if existing corrosion control methods were correctly applied. One of these methods is the use of corrosion inhibitors. An inhibitor is a chemical substance that, when added in small concentrations to an environment, can significantly reduce the corrosion rate.
