Title: Denoising and coding of volumetric medical images
Authors: Hua, Zhong.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering::Computer applications::Life and medical sciences
Issue Date: 1999
Abstract: As radiology departments become increasingly digital, the quantities of their imaging data are forcing consideration of compression in Picture Archiving & Communication System (PACS) and evolving tele-radiology applications. The overall goal of compression is to request a medical image with the smallest possible number of bits, thereby speeding transmission and minimizing storage requirements.
