Abstract: Recent instances of soccer-related racism highlights European nations’ tortured transition from relatively homogeneous ethnicity to multicultural immigration societies. They denote a resurgence of entrenched racial attitudes that flourish in times of economic crisis, and are not limited to Muslim communities.
