Abstract: The human resource management of FairPrice, which are the means for effective implementation of new strategic thrusts, was analysed for a “fit” with the new strategies. Recommendations to review the training policies of part-time workers, direct cost cutting efforts to back-end functions instead and design training programs tailored for mature workers were made.
