Abstract: With plastic zone corrections, the problem of an interface crack between two dissimilar materials under a remote biaxial load is investigated. The mixed-mode Dugdale model is used to examine the plastic zone size and the crack tip opening displacement. In the numerical examples, effects of the biaxial loading and Dundurs’ parameters on the plastic zone size and the crack tip opening displacement are studied. The results show that the compressive loading parallel to the crack line will increase the values of the plastic zone size and the crack tip opening displacement.
