Abstract: This paper examines the demand side factors affecting the rate of Internet penetration in the NICs, which were regressed using the log-linear model. Education affected Singapore and Korea most, for HK it was consumers’ spending on telecommunication. The number of Internet hosts showed a positive relationship with the rate of Internet penetration in Taiwan.
