Abstract: Retirement adequacy is investigated for the baby boomer by assuming the CPF as the sole retirement savings vehicle. From our analysis, the majority of CPF account holders would not be adequately prepared for retirement financially. Reverse mortgage has the strongest potential in topping up for the insufficiency in retirement savings.
