Abstract: This study investigates the both adopters and non-adopters' perception about debit cards, a recently launched financial product in Singapore. Comparisons of adopters and non-adopters are made using the perceived characteristics of innovations (PCIs) as derived by Rogers [1995] and Ostlund [1974] and others, such as flexibility, which evolved from interviews we conducted with consumers.
