Abstract: This study reviews the promise of information revolution and measures the size and the structure of the information sector prevailing in Singapore for the period 1990-2000. The nexus between information and macro-economic development is explored through a simultaneous equation model. The study concludes by underscoring the need to create dynamic linkages, spreads and comparative advantage to harness the benefits of informatisation.
