Abstract: Our paper seeks to examine if in a relatively developed economy like Singapore, environmental contingency factors are less influential than entrepreneur-related factors in determining enterprise creation. Three propositions were developed, based on an entrepreneurship model proposed by Nair, Sivaraman and Kanungo [1998]. Content analysis was performed to test our propositions.
