Abstract: This study examines the factors that explain ETFs lackluster trading volume in Singapore, despite the success in U.S. and other countries. In addition, this study finds that market factors such as difficulties faced by key market players, immature derivatives market, restriction on short selling and lack of promotion factors has restricted the growth of ETFs in Singapore.
