The advent of the laser enabled Leith et al. to develop this concept into a technology with off-axis holography. Advances in computational methods and better digital recording medium, holography is starting a new with Gabor holograms. In this paper, we discuss the principles and applications of digital in-line holography and its applications in Imaging, Microscopy and Measurement.en
