Abstract: Outbursts over bilateral issues have always peppered the relationship between Singapore and Malaysia. The water issue, especially, has strained the relationship between the two neighbours. The main aim of this study was to assess the applicability of a negotiation strategy developed by the Harvard Negotiation Project - The Interest-based Approach, to the Singapore-Malaysia water talks.
