Abstract: This paper seeks to investigate the feasibility of implementing the self-assessment tax system in Singapore by examining the different implementation strategies employed by Australia, United Kingdom (UK) and Malaysia. Our evaluation is based on the lessons drawn from their rationale for moving into self-assessment, the various features evident in the system, their implementation approaches, the problems and issues that arose.
