This research takes a multiple-case study approach to examine damage caused by seven prominent computer viruses, including mass mailing worms as well as exploits that target software vulnerabilities. Using cross-case analyses including pattern analysis, relationship analysis, and interrelationship analysis, we examine the links among virus characteristics, security response, and the damage caused by these viruses.||URI:||http://hdl.handle.net/10356/9546||Rights:||Nanyang Technological University||Fulltext Permission:||restricted||Fulltext Availability:||With Fulltext|
