Abstract: Titanate nanotubes, possessing a unique mesoporous layered structure (Fig. 1) with high surface area. However, the length it can achieve under static hydrothermal condition is below 1 μm due to limited mass transfer. This project investigates the effect of agitation on the morphology of titanate materials with the aim of producing high aspect ratio nanotubes. The unique structure enables the formation of porous ceramic membranes which can be applied to various environmental applications. [1st Award]-[Peer Assesment Review]
