Abstract: A method for the synthesis of oxymethyl dihydropyrroles (pyrrolines) and dihydroimidazoles has been developed via Cu(II)-mediated intramolecular aminooxygenation of alkenylim­ines and alkenylamidines, respectively, with 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidinyloxy radical (TEMPO).
