There are two crystallographic sites AI and AII for Ce3+ in the Sr2Y8(SiO4)6O2 host and according to the analysis of the photoluminescence spectra, the energy levels of Ce3+ at AI and AII sites were demonstrated by the configurational coordinate model. The spectroscopic characteristics also indicated that the energy transfer from Ce3+ at AI to those at AII occurred. This energy transfer became more pronounced with higher Ce3+ doping concentration, which is confirmed by the analysis of decay profiles.||URI:||https://hdl.handle.net/10356/97377
