Abstract: Risk management has become an integral component of corporate governance today. One explicit manifestation of risk management is the appointment of risk committees. This study investigates whether ownership type (i.e. management ownership. institutional ownership and government ownership) has an impact on the appointment of risk committees by SGX-listed companies.
