Abstract: Intercalation and exfoliation of lithium: Few-layer-thick inorganic nanosheets (BN, NbSe2, WSe2, Sb2Se3, and Bi2Te3) have been prepared from their layered bulk precursors by using a controllable electrochemical lithium intercalation process (see picture). The lithium intercalation conditions, such as cut-off voltage and discharge current, have been systematically studied and optimized to produce high-quality BN and NbSe2 nanosheets.
