Abstract: Triflimide (Tf2NH) specifically catalyzed reactions of alcohols and vinyl azides, enabling efficient construction of amides with C–C bond formation through nucleophilic attack of vinyl azides onto the putative carbocation intermediates derived from alcohols are described.
