Abstract: This paper seeks to study the influence of the real effective exchange rate and real wages on unemployment, and to determine the degree to which the real effective exchange rate and real wages affect unemployment in Hong Kong. Using the results, the report hopes to shed some light in terms of policy making, and provide useful statistical evidence to aid policy recommendations.
